How to Add Your Hotel Website On Google (With Steps & Images)

As a Hotel owner, one of the foremost things you need to do for your hotel to be found online is to get a Google My Business or GMB listing. This means providing all your hotel information such as name, address, phone number, hotel category, amenities details, etc. so that the potential customers can easily discover your hotel when searching for where to stay.

More the customers can discover your hotel means the potentially higher traffic which, in turn, means optimizing occupancy. There are other things that come to play when attracting more business such as other customer reviews, guest engagement, etc. But for this post, we will focus on optimizing your website marketing by first getting your hotel’s website connected to Google My Business

Here, we’ll take you step-by-step through the process showing how to add your website to your GMB listing.

[Note: If you are part of a flag, chances are your corporate website is already connected here, and your brand may have restriction on connecting your vanity site on Google. However, as a boutique, the independent hotel, you have complete control over your messaging.]

You can connect your website by following the steps listed below:

Step 1: Visit GMB listing or Google My Business Page and log in using your business email ID. In case you haven’t listed your business on Google yet, here’s a simple guide that will show you how to do just that.

Step 2: Once logged in, click on the ‘Info’ tab on the left-hand side menu.

Step 3: In the ‘Info’ section, all your hotel details will be listed. Scroll down to the ‘Add Website’ option and click on the pencil icon next to it.

Then, in the dialog box that pops up, enter your hotel website and click on ‘Apply’.

That’s it. You are all set! Now your website will be linked to your GMB profile and will be visible to searchers online.

[Note: some changes may take up to 72 hours to reflect on GMB, in most cases, it takes an hour or less.]
